Final Fantasy Type-0

It's out, you might wanna pick it up.
I myself am gonna laugh about it tonight. Maybe there are still parts SE did not yet spoil in magazines, trailers or whereever, who knows?
Priority: Checking the Camera/Targeting improvements they promised

Yes, the download is quite large. It's 2 UMDs, what did you expect? They've filled the discs with a hell lot of video sequences after all.
No mirrors aside from UL.to and Torrent unless requested by a few people.
Final Fantasy Type-0 [JP] ISO
~3.28 GB
Torrent

Ah, yes, the god-damn Opening is even longer now. I hope you got a good book at hand, you won't get to actually play for about 15 minutes, judging from the demo and the longer opening.

PS: Don't worry so much about all the different characters! At least one of them seems to die early enough for Square Enix to not mind putting her onto magazine covers!

Dunno if this control scheme plan is still valid, but heck, I don't care enough to check first, maybe it helps anyway.

already!! that was fast. isn't the torrent working?

DarkChaplain said...

Aye, rather quick :3
The Torrent's now working, linked it a bit late, still haven't gotten a 2nd seeder on there, might take some time.

However, the DDLs are fully compatible with the torrent, once unpacked, so if the torrent takes too long, you might wanna try downloading UMD 2 first and jump in afterwards

have u started playing!...silly me of course u have. do u happen to do any live streams? i'd like to see some action.

i'm staying up all night just for this game launch day!

well, I tried it, compared it to the demo and noticed I still don't like the game. Maybe I'll give it another go, but I won't try to force myself though it
to me, type-0 is the solid proof of Square Enix wasting tons of potential, focussing on the wrong kind of experience...

umm... does it do a firmware check? i read somewhere that this one has tighter security for CFWs

the game start with cfw 5.50 prometheus 4?

DarkChaplain said...

am running 6.20 PRO-B9 and have had no issues. Also using a custom version.txt to simulate 6.60 and didn't have issues with any game (not even UMD retail) yet

am running 6.20 PRO-B9 and have never tried the old 5.xx firmwares myself. if it doesn't already run like it is and you don't want to update your cfw (for whatever reasons), patching a game for prometheus isn't that hard

is it possible to play this through an emulator? or do i have to have a PSP?

DarkChaplain said...

even the most advanced emulators for PSP games out there are buggy at best, and will require you to experiment with dozens of different settings to even run, let alone run well without crashing at every loading screen.

so yeah, as it is right now, you'd be best of getting a PSP second-hand, the prices will probably fall anyway due to the vita
