So, I guess I'll finally give my Tyranid-army a new try.
The 'Nids were the first race in Warhammer 40.000 that made me shiver, that made me want to field them.
But I never managed to create an army.
I bought something here and there, along with many other things.
The 'Macragge'-starterbox of the 4th Edition supplied me with the following:
- 10 Termagaunts
- 6 Genestealers
- 8 Sporenmines
- 3 Disease-marker
- 1 Breed-Tunnel
..not everything is still intact, e.g. I used one 'stealer to provide my Cypher with a special base-design =p
I also bought a
- Hive-Tyrant and a
- Carnifex, as well as
- 3 Warriors.
The Tyrant is painted in Hivefleet-Leviathan Style, the 'fex and the warriors aren't even assembled by now.
The biggest problem was - from the very beginning - the choice of colors.
It's not like some human or ork, there is absolutely NOTHING that tells you how to paint it.
It completely is up to you.
And such things are my biggest problem. I can't decide these things.
So most Termagaunts ended up as color-studies.
Space Hulk provided me with an anti-scheme to the Blood Angels-Terminators - Dark Blue and Purple.
Aside of that, I now own 22 more Genestealers and one Broodlord.
I don't really want to set them on bases by now, but I guess the new rules will show.
so, I want to give the Hive a new chance.
In january, some new Units and Plastic-kits will be released, e.g. the long-awaited Trygon or new Gargoyles.
I want to buy one box at waylandgames, but I don't know which one, yet...
I guess I will come up with a list from the old 4th Edition-Codex, for the new one hasn't been released, so... just wait a moment XD
